美首批宇航员之一卡彭特去世 Oct 11th 2013, 02:19 （联合早报网讯）美国宇航局首批宇航员之一斯科特·卡彭特因病去世，享年88岁。 据BBC报道，1962年，卡彭特成为第二位环绕地球飞行的美国宇航员，他操控"极光7号"太空舱成功环绕地球飞行三圈。 卡彭特出生于美国科罗拉多州，1949年加入美国海军航空部队，曾参加过朝鲜战争。 1959年，他成为美国最早的7名宇航员之一。1969年他从美国宇航局退休后，从事与海洋学相关的活动。 （联合早报网编辑：薛之白 )
